Kim Braun is the President and CEO of Braun Industries, the larg-est, privately-held, ambulance producer in the U.S., employing nearly 300 people in NW Ohio. Ambulances are built on dozens of varying chassis platforms. Kim will describe to us the supply chain route from the chassis manufacturer, through a local work truck up-fitter, and all the way to the end user…Fire and EMS de-partments across America.

CAR, initiated by the University of Michigan, is now a standalone nonprofit. CAR creates unbiased economic and systems modeling research, develops new manufacturing methodologies, forecasts industry futures, and advises on public policy.

Grob’s 27 Year Apprenticeship Program
GROB's apprenticeship program has been in existence since the first portion of their Bluffton plant was built in 1991. Grob has had six major expansions since then creating a need for even more quality employees. Grob’s apprentice program is focused on al-lowing their students to learn in a hands-on environment.

Final preparations are underway for MakerFest 2017. Over 1,300 high school students, 500 college students, and more than 500 local jobseekers are expected to participate in this region-wide celebra-tion of world-class manufacturing, skilled trades, and related ser-vice industries.
