Jamie De La Cruz, Marathon Petroleum Company
Jaime De La Cruz is Human Resources Director for Midstream Operations at Marathon Petroleum Company (“MPC”), where he has worked for 22 years in various roles, including Senior Attorney, Human Resources Manager, and Talent Acquisition & Inclusion Director. Jaime is also a member of the company’s Corporate Emergency Response Team, and for the past 12 months has supported MPC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jaime graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maryville University of St. Louis in 1995 with a degree in Political Science and minors in Philosophy and Sociology. At Maryville, Jaime co-captained the men’s soccer team and is now a member of the university’s Hall of Fame. He attended law school at Ohio Northern University’s School of Law, where Jaime served on Law Review and graduated with High Distinction and an overall class rank of 3 in 2000.
Jaime was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, but has lived in Missouri, Ohio, Minnesota and Louisiana – and he fondly calls each of those places “home.” Jaime and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 24 years and have three children—Penny, Cross, and Dallas.
Jaime is committed to community outreach and volunteerism. He currently serves as Board Chair of Focus Recovery and Wellness Community. Jaime also serves as a board member of the Findlay/Hancock County YMCA.
Leslie Coleman, Nutrien
Leslie Coleman, Vice President, Equity Diversity and Inclusion, joined Nutrien in March 2021.
Leslie brings extensive experience in driving a diverse and inclusive workforce for global organizations in a variety of sectors. Most recently, Leslie was the Global Director of Diversity & Inclusion at International Paper (IP) in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to joining IP, she served as the Global HR Leader at Cargill. Leslie is currently a National Board Member for the National Black MBA Association and former President for the Memphis Chapter. She is also a Board Member for the Memphis Orpheum, TAG and YWCA amongst other prestigious organizations.
Leslie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources with a minor in Psychology at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Graduating with honors from the University of Memphis, she secured a Masters in Psychology and Research and has a published article titled "Self Theories." She also holds executive certifications from both Harvard and Emory. Leslie has two sons, Lane and Luke of which Luke is privileged to play football for the US Naval Academy. Leslie and Lane reside in Memphis, TN.
Leslie’s motto: “Forward to the possibilities,” has served her well and continues to be the groundswell for her success!
We will also be honoring the Chamber's 2020 Circle of Influence and presenting the 2020 Ambassador of the Year Award.
