zzSafety Council Meeting
Mental Health Safety in the Workplace
Katy Tombaugh, CEO at Wellness Collective
In this session, we will discuss psychological safety in the workplace: what is it, the risk factors impacting it, and warning signs that warrant attention and immediate response. Additionally, we’ll explore how to build resiliency by incorporating preventative factors for employees and the workplace community. This session is intended to create a safe space to investigate how to best support care, safety, security, and overall mental health in the workplace.
Learning Targets
In this session we will—
- Understand psychological safety in the workplace, and the risk factors & warning signs that negatively influence this sense of safety.
- Learn key protective factors that employees and the workplace community can apply to foster resiliency among the group.
- Review a specific case study involving a threat to psychological safety in the workplace and identify key elements (risk factors, warning signs, and protective factors) to take an experiential look at mental health as it relates to workplace safety.
This event is open to members of the West Central Ohio Safety Council members and the public.
New for FY2022: An attendance incentive drawing at each meeting for $100 in Chamber gift certificates.
