Heart Attacks in the Workplace
This presentation will teach participants the warning signs of a heart attack, how to activate the 911 system, what care EMS provides, and the care provided at the hospital. Additional training programs to help save the life of a co-worker in the workplace will also be discussed.
Speaker Bio:
Crystal Plumpe has 16 years of public safety experience in private EMS, critical care, and at the fire department. She is currently a Platoon Chief with the Bath Township Fire Department. She is an Ohio Fire & EMS Instructor. She is an American Heart Association instructor for: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She has a bachelor’s degree from Franklin University in Public Safety Management. She is a credentialed “Ohio Fire Officer” by the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association. She was also a member of the WCOSC steering committee and has been a recipient of the Ruth Kreher Safety Person of the Year Award.
This event is open to members of the West Central Ohio Safety Council.
