We purchased several facilities in Lima, Ohio and we are currently looking for Retread Technicians to work at our facility located at 701 E. Hanthorn Road.

Our Retread Technicians produce a high-quality retread by performing specific  functions from inspecting, preparing, and finishing in the remanufacturing of commercial tires. Duties include the following:

• Inspect casings for defects, damage, or wear to determine suitability for retreading.

• Operate retread machines including buffers, builders, and curing chambers.

• Apply repair materials, rubber compounds, and tread designs according to specifications.

• Ensure proper curing of retreaded tires through heat and pressure application.

• Trim and finish retreaded tires for appearance and balance.

• Maintain clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety policies.

• Accurately document tire information, production numbers, and quality control logs.

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of retreading equipment.

• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and quality goals.

Retread Technician Requirements:

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Team- Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
• Must pass a pre-employment background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in tire retreading, automotive, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work in a hot, noisy, and sometimes dusty environment

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. 
• Lifting: frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Work in environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Production floor in a warehouse or shop environment.
• Exposure to heat, rubber dust, and industrial machinery.
• Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) 
• Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment)
