Manufacturer of blow molded plastics (bottles). Alpla, Inc ALPLA was founded in 1955 in Hard Austria by Alwin Lehner. He started the business in his garage. Operations began in the U.S. in 2001; McDonough Georgia is the 1st plant in the United States and is also where the corporate office is located. Currently ALPLA has plants located in McDonough Georgia, Houston, Texas, Iowa City, Iowa, Jefferson City, MO, and Lima, Ohio. Cortland, New York is scheduled to open in October. The plants in the United States employ over 500 employees, and globally ALPLA employees over 10,000 employees. ALPLA of Lima is the 105th plant worldwide. ALPLA has just opened its first plant in China in 2007. ALPLA is a manufacturer of blow molding plastics (bottles); one of of ALPLA'S largest customers is Proctor & Gamble.
