About Us

The purpose of the Walter C. Potts Entrepreneur Center is to provide leadership guidance for entrepreneurs and small business development, as well as teaching skills employers desire. The incubator helps current small and minority businesses grow, which in turn provides economic growth in the Allen County community.

These entrepreneurs will stay, invest, and participate in the Lima/Allen County area. A Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program is planned for the Walter C. Potts Entrepreneur Center with a number of programs to help businesses and individuals including a Small Business Incubator, Tomorrow’s Generational College, and Mentor Advisor Counseling. The Potts Incubator is encouraging entrepreneurs with big goals and ideas that can change an industry and reform a community – an entrepreneur with the determination to see a concept become a reality. The Lima-Allen County region is a growing economic hub, and with this growth, we can help accelerate the development of entrepreneurs and tech start-ups in our community by investing in their growth. The center brings together regional partners, mentors, education, training, and funding opportunities. The Potts Incubator will connect those accepted into the program to entrepreneurs and mentors and provide access to many services for funding and growth opportunities.
